Social Media Coordinator
Position Overview: Responsible for defining and executing a specific social media strategy. The candidate must possess a solid understanding of the social media universe, including Google+, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest and blogs, with a desire to stay up-to-date on industry developments. Major Tasks and Responsibilities:* Responsible for defining and executing a specific social media strategy.* Must possess a solid understanding of the social media universe, including Google+, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest and blogs.* Responsible for daily posts & tweets to all applicable social media outlets.* Will Coordinate the marketing calendar with online activity, partner with other departments to ensure proper online messaging and relevancy, ensure consistency of messages across multiple networks, and continuous monitoring and coverage of all sites 24/7.* Manages all blog content.* Act as the institution's onsite reporter. Other Tasks:* Duties may include cultivating new online communities.* Write content for all social media platforms.* Coordinate social media promotions.* Assist other departments in making their products and activities more social media friendly.Experience/Qualifications:Must have 2-4 years related experience. Candidates must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as meticulous attention to detail. Project management experience is helpful as well as enthusiasm for science and education.
