Ms. Beth Frerking
Full Time
POLITICO is seeking a dynamic, highly organized, tech-savvy individual to aid senior leadership in setting the company’s major web-development priorities – and then work closely with the web-development team to meet them. The project manager will collect and analyze development requests from editorial, sales, marketing, events, video, etc.; work with the web-development team to determine the feasibility of the requests and create estimates of the time needed to complete them; present the larger requests to senior leadership for discussion; prioritize the smaller requests directly; prepare requirements for the web-development team as needed; oversee review, testing and launching of new projects; and maintains constant communication with both the development team and senior leadership as the projects come to fruition.

The project manager must have a keen understanding of POLITICO’s mission; excellent communication, organizational and diplomatic skills; the confidence to make decisions effectively and the awareness to escalate them when necessary; and the ability to see both the forest and the trees every day. Experience with agile project management, technical requirements and development is a plus, as is a PMP certification.

It is POLITICO's policy to provide equal employment opportunity to all qualified individuals without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender or other basis prohibited by applicable federal, state or local law.
