This is a temp to hire position located in New York

Publishers Clearing House has an immediate opening for a talented, full-time Sr. Web Designer who will be responsible for the conception, development and maintenance of design concepts throughout all phases of a project.

Responsibilities include:

•Design of corporate global sites, micro-sites, emails, landing pages, site components, ads modules, splash screens, branding and marketing materials, and other graphic or web elements based on corporate and client requests, new technologies or new vendor relationships
•Adhere to style sheets, color schemes, templates and layouts for use in projects, etc. ensuring company-wide standards and consistency
•Create elegant and cutting-edge components to support advertiser programs for Marketing team; concept creation and design of rich media ad units as well as marketing, advertising, and sales materials
•Exercise judgment in determining both the strategic and tactical approaches for project specific design initiatives, under tight deadlines.
•Be the key point of contact for specific project development resources, serving as an deliverable project manager from a creative and tactical perspective
•Research design and interactive trends utilizing internet and other means

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

•Bachelors degree in graphic design or 4+ years of professional experience in design, advertising, and corporate branding
•Thorough knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML and CSS, with the ability to keep abreast of new technology solutions to maintain the highest standard of work. Mobile development skills a plus.
•Ability to build emails that render properly across all email clients and browsers (responsive email build a plus).
•Comprehensive understanding of project ownership from assignment through delivery
•Advanced branding, visual design, and typography skills
•Ability to take direction
•Ability to quickly familiarize with brand goals, integrate style into design, and deliver projects on time
•The ability to solve problems; a realistic understanding of when and how to elevate an issue
•Ability to be flexible, have a positive attitude, and work as part of a team to make compromises that meet the needs of all parties
•Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with ever-changing deadlines
•Enthusiastic team player who looks out for others, provides guidance, and readily shares knowledge
