The Hollywood Reporter is seeking an entertainment and pop culture fanatic with a nose for news and the ability to write quickly and cleanly in a highly competitive and fast-paced environment. The typical duties of a Staff Editor include the following:

Job Responsibilities:
* Quickly write 5-7 reported or aggregated entertainment news, business and feature stories per day.
* Edit and post news stories and reviews filed by THR's global cadre of reporters, editors and correspondents.
*Generating ideas for and posting photo galleries and other projects.
* Contribute to the site and weekly magazine's "About Town" section, attending red carpets, premieres and other events around NYC.
* Be a self-directed, multi-tasking expert whose a strong team player and can thrive in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.

Qualifications:
*Minimum 2 years full-time experience writing and reporting at a news site / daily newspaper.com.
*Experience using an open-source CMS functionality (Drupal, WordPress, etc.)
*Comfort using social media to report and promote THR's work.
*Knowledge of SEO best practices.
*BA/BS in journalism, communication or a relevant field.
