Editorial Business Associate




Conde Nast seeks an Editorial Business Associate for a full-time staff position.  




WIRED is looking for an editorial business associate. Our perfect candidate for this staff job has worked at a website or magazine for a year or more and knows the terms and tasks we deal with every day: word rates, budgets, photo rights, expense reports, contracts, booking travel, HR, PR, and organizing public events. A good head for numbers and detail is essential. This is not a writing or reporting job, but you will work side by side every day with our world-class team of journalists.  

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Work with Conde Nast licensing to clear rights for reuse of Wired content
  • Create and maintain contracts for web content
  • Attend editorial planning meetings
  • Manage eBook projects, including building budgets, clearing content for reuse, and coordinating workflow
  • Request and process invoices for web writers
  • Maintain editorial contact database 
  • Build and maintain web budgets in consultation with managers; this includes weekly and monthly maintenance, as well as quarterly preparation for corporate budget meetings
  • Coordinate on boarding of new staff in conjunction with HR
  • Assist with planning of editorial events
  • Assist managing editor with administrative tasks as needed
