Yahoo! Entertainment's OMG!, the web's premiere destination for celebrity coverage and content, is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic and entertainment savvy writer/reporter. You should be a creative and energetic team player who loves popular culture, movies and TV.

This forward-thinking journalist will work alongside a team of writers across all of Yahoo!'s entertainment sites, including OMG!, Yahoo! TV, Yahoo! Movies, and Yahoo! Music, with an emphasis on breaking news and developing original content.

In addition to reporting on breaking news, the writer/reporter will be expected to do in-depth research for both quick turnaround and long-term features. They should be able to identify and package content that will appeal to a mass audience of celebrity fans.

The writer/reporter will also be expected to contribute to OMG!'s coverage on Twitter, Facebook and other social and viral media.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in the entertainment space as well as a strong journalism background and the kind of creative spark necessary to building great entertainment brands.

Minimum qualifications:

* 3-5 years of digital journalism experience Excellence in writing, editing and general communication.
* Passion for entertainment journalism and pop culture
* Extensive contacts within the entertainment industry
* Experience working with talent, publicists and entertainment executives
* Ability to communicate effectively in an extended organization
* Ability to manage time effectively and file stories on tight deadline
* Willing to work occasionally on weekends and late nights
* Desire to collaborate within the team, across teams and even outside of the organization
* Ability to think through fast-paced reaching news situations and act prudently without making mistakes
* Experience working with content management tools, social media platforms and SEO best practices
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
* BA/BS Degree, journalism related degree preferred.
