We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Los Angeles team.This role will actively work alongside Development, Creative, Production and Project Management groups. Very hands on and technical, this position will be viewed as key to the success of the QA group and be required to spearhead several large projects simultaneously. Day to day responsibilities will include reviewing and scoping upcoming projects, writing and executing test plans for white and black box testing, logging and tracking defects, and participating in daily meetings. Clear and concise communication is a must. The ideal candidate must be familiar with dealing with multiple clients/partners and know how to communicate with them effectively. Mentoring Junior QA engineers will also be part of the responsibility of the Sr. QA Engineer. Attention to detail, organization, and creative thinking are an absolute must.Applicants must understand the difference between a software company and an agency when it comes to creativity and software development.Key Responsibilities:The Senior QA Engineer will be required to build each test plan from the ground up using white box, black box, negative, race and security testing mythologies. The candidate will attend all meetings associated with projects, as well as initiate contact (in the form of meetings, email or phone calls) between groups in order to further the QA goal of quality.You must be able to balance 5-10 simultaneous projects and understand the priority of each. Must be a self starter and not require micro-managing. QA will need to get involved and provide feedback at the project inception and continue to support the project through release and into support. Providing scoping, time estimates, level of effort, risks and other similar types of feedback early in the process before development begins is required.As issues arise in production, this role will be critical to rapidly assess, diagnose, and ultimately verify a fix. Will entail working closely and rapidly with development, operations project management and other groups to unsure not only quality but consistency throughout the process. (Agile experience a plus)Responsibilities Incude:
  • Manage all Quality Assurance related aspects on multiple projects
  • Provide a single point of contact for Quality Assurance project needs
  • Estimate and scope Quality Assurance work for future projects (micro and macro)
  • Create and execute Test Plans based on project requirements
  • Create and execute project milestones and schedules
  • Communicate and act on risk to project stakeholders
  • Work directly with clients on project scope and updates
  • Create and distribute reports based on test results
  • Manage day to day activities of project Quality Assurance team members
  • Perform all aspects of testing tasks such as creating and executing manual and automated tests for multiple software releases across diverse platforms such as web, mobile, and other devices.
  • Analyze test result, document defects/issues in Tracking System, manage and review Tracking System (Jira)
  • Act as a Quality Assurance subject matter expert within the company
  • Work with Quality Assurance Manager to mentor Team Members including one on one interactions, presentations and thought leadership

  • Four-year degree required or equiv.
  • Minimum of 5 years Quality Assurance experience and/or combined information systems analysis, design, development or implementation experience
  • Exert proficiency with different phases of STLC, SDLC, Waterfall, Agile and Context Based testing methodologies
  • Mobile testing experience (hardware/software) required (2+ years)
  • Clear understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Mobile Testing Experience (2+ years)
  • Strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac OS X).
  • Knowledge of the current collection of web browsers and the cross-browser concerns present in professional web development.
  • Experience developing extensive test plans. 2+years
  • Experience working with content management systems (CMS) 1+years
  • Experience in testing Internet and web products (3 tier architecture a plus) 5+ years
  • Experience being part of a fast paced technology/marketing team
  • Ability to manage several projects of varying size, complexity and delivery date
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Proven interpersonal, analytical, attention to detail/strategy, and creative problem-solving skills.
