The CAD is the central contact for all media activities on a group of accounts. To that end the CAD is the key Media Strategist and guides the planning team in strategy development and overall administration of client media needs. Must establish themselves as a true partner in client's business, having a firm grasp of client's business needs, issues, etc.

Specific Responsibilities

-Lead the development of sound strategic Communication Plans based on clear understanding of client objectives
-Clearly identify key media deliverables in terms of accountability and performance
-Maintain an in-depth knowledge of client businesses, both from a current situation perspective, as well as a historical perspective.
-Lead collaborative working relationships between MV and other partner agencies (creative, PR, event) to achieve integrated communications solutions
-Ensure the application of Connections that Captivate throughout all media plan development and recommendations
-Manage all media planning and buying processes while ensuring maximum accuracy
-Identify and facilitate implementation (when possible) of opportunities to improve best practices and product
-Effectively manage Billing and Income and Direct Client Cost process across all assigned brands (depending on client group)
-Demonstrate strong command of Media Research resources, capabilities and limitations.
-Establish strong client/Agency, sales, and vendor relationships.
-Participate in the overall management of departmental operations
-Inspire creativity and pro-activity of media staff.
-Continue to participate in MDS training offerings
-Manage staff and works closely with Connections Manager and Connections Director
-Develop constructive evaluations of CM(s) during PMP process
-Facilitate the cascading of goals amongst team
-Coach CM(s) and CA(s) in areas of personnel management
-Demonstrate MediaVest values to CM(s), CA(s) and CJA(s)

Required Skills (the "technical" stuff)

-Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
-A minimum of six years of media planning experience
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to prioritize and organize open items for self and staff
-Excellent understanding of media fundamentals, including all research
