MarketCast, a leading global entertainment marketing research firm, has an immediate opening for a Research Associate, New Business Development in its Los Angeles headquarters.

The ideal candidate will:

•Possess 2 to 5 years market research experience, including end-to- end research, from proposal to study design through analysis and reporting of results
•Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Be able to identify new business opportunities and translate them into tangible, visually engaging proposals
•Work independently and be able to prioritize and re-prioritize tasks
•Demonstrate a strong interest in building and nurturing long-term relationships and winning new business
•Enjoy working in a vibrant, global, entrepreneurial company
•Be passionate about keeping tabs on and understanding the underlying dynamics of the entertainment business and the ongoing implications for marketing research

The Job:

•Teaming with internal colleagues, following current events and happenings within the entertainment space to identify prospective clients, determine their needs, and uncover ways in which MarketCast can add value
•Using a developed creative eye to be able to create and pull together visually engaging and compelling client proposals
•Setting-up and attending client meetings
•Managing a pipeline from lead to proposal and providing reporting your progress to Management
•Begin to create long term relationships with clients and prospective clients throughout the entertainment landscape, including television studios and networks, technology platforms, MCNs, gaming companies, subscription video services, production and finance companies, and movie studios (at MarketCast, we define entertainment as anything that makes the consumer smile)

We think you'll make a good business development executive at MarketCast and should apply if you:

•Have a solid marketing research background with relevant agency-side and/or entertainment industry experience and are motivated to follow new business leads – from both existing and new clients – from a variety of sources
•Like to think about the box and translate those ideas into a visually compelling pitch
•Have outstanding writing and communication skills and complete proficiency in MS PowerPoint/Excel
•Are adept at learning new products and service offerings and can build rapport easily with new contacts
•Are a strong team player capable of working across teams/departments and available to travel as needed
•Can assist on research projects outside of new business pitches as needed
