The East Coast Territory Sales Representative is a full-time sales position, selling social media agency/consulting solutions that businesses are desperately seeking. This is a high-profile position for an assertive self-directed individual. You are passionate, self-motivated, love to work independently, are effective in a virtual environment, and most importantly: you are ready to fast-track your sales career.

The East Coast Territory Sales Representative is a valued role in the Clever Girls organization, and reports to the Vice President of Sales.

Your focus will be accounts in the New York and Chicago areas, with occasional monthly travel including quarterly trips our San Francisco Bay Area headquarters.

Responsibilities

Sales Production
- Effectively generate, qualify, and close leads
- Build, grow and maintain accounts in your personal pool of contacts
- Prospecting, COLD CALLING, negotiating, and closing new business
- Manage a high volume of outbound calls to warm marketing lists to uncover qualified sales opportunities
- Set appointments via email/phone
- Build, develop and manage a qualified sales funnel of opportunities
- Attend in market network and industry events and conferences regularly
- Provide local market insight to the Sales and Management teams
- Prepare and deliver proposals for social media campaigns
- Work closely with Marketing and Client Services teams to negotiate and close contracts
- Navigate corporate structures to identify decision makers and determine buying process
- Identify prospect's business needs and goals to determine solution
- Work closely with Vice President of Sales to increase close ratio and number of new clients
- Deliver exceptional customer service and develop trusted relationships with clients
- Maintain daily Zoho (CRM) reporting
- Achieve monthly activity quotas
- Achieve a monthly/quarterly/annual sales goal

Qualifications & Experience

Education and Experience
- Five or more years preferred (minimum 2-3 years) quota-carrying sales and/or functional experience (sales, marketing, account management) in a relevant industry (media or PR sales)
- Bachelor degree in Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, communications or related field preferred

Role Qualifications
- Media or advertising sales experience preferred
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales goals, with a history of success selling to senior-level executives and multiple decision-makers at client and agency level
- Excellent communication skills and presentation/influencing abilities
- Strong customer service mentality, with ability to quality control client-facing output of multiple team members
- Reliable, strong work ethic and able to work independently
- Ability to travel, including overnight stays
- Experience using a CRM system, experience with Zoho a plus
- Established media, PR, CPG client and related services relationships a plus
