You'll run the day to day operations, guide coverage across 3 screens and create special coverage plans. You'll need to be great at juggling multiple projects and collaborating with the team to ensure those projects are executed.   Key activities
* Assist News Director with supervisory responsibility for all news broadcasts and online content
* Involved in hiring and performance management of direct reports
* Assist News Director in the on-going evaluation of personnel
* Coach producers and multi-media journalists on presentation
* Lead breaking news coverage across multiple platforms
* Ability to manage cross platform content creation and distribution
* Implement and have working knowledge of federal, state and local laws impacting operations
* Write copy, edit and proof-read scripts for air and web
* Knowledge of and proficiency in posting content to station websites
* Schedule anchors and multi-media journalists
* Lead coverage planning of major events, i. e. elections, special events
* Proactively communicate news initiatives across departments
* Evaluate workflow efficiencies
* Perform other duties as assigned Education & Experience/Certifications
* Minimum of 3 years newsroom management experience
* Minimum of 3 years newscast producing experience
* Advanced oral and written communication skills
* Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office
* Broad understanding of newsroom operations and equipment
