The Assistant Online Marketing Manager will assist the Marketing team in executing digital initiatives and priorities for approximately 30-60 marketing campaigns each year. This candidate will also be responsible for identifying and presenting new digital and social media trends to the Little, Brown and Company imprint.


- Work hand in hand with authors to ensure that they are fully educated on best practices for content development within the social media and web development landscape. Provide authors with education, training, and execution support.
- Liaise with publicity and editorial teams to identify bonus material and content for blogger and social media outreach initiatives (videos, apps, games, downloads, physical promo material, etc)
- Monitor and update content on key social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Goodreads, Tumblr, Pinterest) and ensure that consumers are engaged in conversation with our books
- Monitor e-retailer account sites to ensure book and author data are correct and try to identify additional assets that may be lacking for sites
- Act as Little, Brown representative for the web production team and ensure that all corporate, author, and micro sites are maintained with the most up to date information.
- Stay abreast of industry trends the social media and digital to ensure that innovative recommendations are presented to the Little, Brown imprint on a regular basis

- Candidates must have at least 5-7 years experience in digital marketing environment with a demonstrated ability to manage high-profile initiatives. Experience in the literary fiction genre a plus.
- Self motivated, hands on, creative individual with exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills
- Attention to details in a deadline-driven environment with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Strong initiative and judgment. Results-oriented and ability to work well independently as well as in collaborative or team environments
- Ability to identify new tends, utilizing knowledge and contacts in the social media industry
- Able to demonstrate successes in the digital marketing arena (specific examples preferred)
- Knowledge of online advertising platforms
- Basic knowledge of Photoshop and HTML huge pluses
- Must be results driven, and take appropriate steps to achieve goals while taking ownership of situations as needed.
- Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work product and demonstrate good follow up and follow through
