At Putman Media, we value all the above. And we're looking for a high-energy, innovative thinker to be our new Director of Live Events . You'll build, manage, and deliver live and virtual event strategies across our business, ensuring successful execution of everything from breakfast seminars to day-long conferences and even trade shows--and everything in-between. You'll be counted on to help our teams drive sales of live and virtual events, as well as help build the mechanisms to support our events--from logistics to marketing and audience to content. Responsibilities include:

? Work with our teams to develop a series of live and virtual offerings that make sense for our markets and deliver revenue at healthy margins.
? Help our sales teams develop new live event business by playing a critical role in the sales process, working with clients to develop programs based on their needs.
? Work with our internal audience development and marketing teams to build a process for supporting live and virtual event engagement that includes writing marketing materials, effective email strategies, direct mails and more.
? Work with our editorial teams to determine content strategies for live and virtual events. Assist in the recruitment process for expert content contributors.
? Coordinate all event logistics, including venues, signage, food and beverage, audio/visual, etc.
? Build a strong network of partners, if necessary, to help execute on your strategies.
? Work with our creative team to develop custom creative strategies for each event.
? Fulfill necessary administrative responsibilities, include meeting scheduling, travel planning, expense reporting and vendor payments.

Qualified candidates will possess:

? 5+ years of live event management experience, preferably within B2B markets.
? Demonstrated ability to work in cross-organizational roles.
? Experience working with sales teams to build live event revenue.
? Excellent organizational and communication skills, strategic thinker, ability to multi-task, self-motivated, proactive and driven to achieve results.
? Highly skilled at brand/product development processes.
? Degree in Marketing or related field preferred.
? Strong computer skills.
