RealClearPolitics is seeking a smart, driven individual for the position of ad operations manager in Washington DC. The candidate will traffic ad campaigns on the site, generate and analyze campaign reports and optimize performance.
This person will work closely with RCP’s sales team, ad agencies and advertisers.

Responsibilities include:
• Ideate, develop and manage ad trafficking processes, workflows and policies
• Partner with internal and external partners on development of custom ads and standard ad products
• Partner with account management to put in place and maintain a clear campaign launch process and optimization
• Make recommendations on online revenue trends such as key performance indicators (KPIs) and other future improvements.
• Utilize best practices for client interaction, sales and services, and vetting technologies and vendors.
• Ensure accurate ad trafficking, contract fulfillment and quality control for client campaigns
• Troubleshoot tag-related issues, reporting/delivery discrepancies and implementation concerns
• Track, measure, analyze and report the performance of multiple advertising campaigns, including creating detailed performance reports and proposing optimization strategies
• Serve as in house ad ops expert – provide recommendations on technologies, targeting capabilities, best practices and building a scalable ad ops team
• Develop a strategy for optimization of our daily inventory to ensure we are achieving an optimal revenue


• Bachelor’s degree
• 2 years digital media experience
• Must be a self-starter; able to work with minimal supervision to initiate and complete tasks
• Able to deal professionally with members, clients, vendor, and staff at all levels
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills a must
• Able to manage multiple projects with conflicting priorities in a deadline driven environment
• Must be outgoing, proactive, friendly, and work well under pressure
• Strong attention to details, Good analytical skills
• Ability to thrive in a changing, growing business environment
• A methodical approach to developing action plans and implementing changes
• Knowledge of DoubleClick for Publishers
• Knowledge of basic web development tools like HTML, Javascript, CSS is a plus.
