DESCRIPTION:
Under general direction, directs, manages, supervises, and coordinates the strategic direction, activities and operations of the Agency’s Community Outreach Program, which supports every capital project level and phase, including planning, environmental, design, and construction; provides management direction for four corridor teams and the business mitigation program, which support the Agency’s capital projects; serve as the liaison for various programs, divisions, Departments/Offices/Lines of Business, and outside agencies; negotiates and resolves sensitive and controversial issues; devise, guide and coordinate strategic communications and outreach plans around highly sensitive issues; and provide advice, counsel and support to the Deputy Executive Director and Executive Director.

TYPICAL QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree in communications, public affairs, public administration, English, or closely related field and eight years of experience developing and implementing community outreach and public involvement plans including field work in construction and public involvement in planning and design; and four years staff supervisory, budgetary, and management responsibility, preferably in a rail or transit related environment; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
