The San Francisco office is currently seeking exceptional candidates for a Manager (Senior Account Executive level) position in our Catalyst community on our Consumer Marketing team. Only self-starters with attention to detail and the ability to multi-task need apply.

The Manager will handle day-to-day PR responsibilities on consumer/lifestyle accounts. The Manager must have an intimate level of understanding of his or her accounts, including business, products, markets, personnel and outside influences. This person must manage the flow of work and information to account teams and evaluate and edit their work. The Manager will oversee PR tasks such as media strategy, outreach, press material development, event management, social media activity and account management.

Job Duties:

•Serve as an integral member of the client relationship team addressing the varied and changing needs of consumer clients
•Provide client counsel on tactical matters linked to strategic plans
•Proactively generate new ideas and opportunities for the development of strategic client plans and assist with the creation of related budgets
•Stay on top of industry best practices, client and competitor brand activity, and assist GH team to ensure GH delivers game-changing ideas and solutions
•Create and manage all details of event planning and program execution
•Manage external vendors for event planning
•Work with team to manage daily monitoring, communications and reporting to your clients on industry developments, the results you are securing, progress against objectives/plans/tactics; apply learnings as real-time diagnostics of account activity to address challenges or leverage opportunities
•Provide executional excellence
•Develop deep knowledge about and relationships with clients, learning their business and professional preferences
•Leverage working relationships with key media
•Contribute ideas and targets/approaches for media outreach and pitch efforts
•Understand key social media platforms and how to create consumer engagement
•Work with client relationship leader (CRL) to help develop budgets and assist with timely billing and reporting
•Assist with supervision and development of junior team members
•Possess excellent writing, copy-editing and proof-reading skills
•Work well with a variety of key internal and external stakeholders
•Excel at verbal and written client, interpersonal and intra-team communications

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have 4- 6 years of related professional experience and a college degree in English, journalism, communications, marketing or related field. Excellent research, writing and editing skills; oral presentation skills and comfort; and a nose for what is and how to make and leverage news are requirements. A solid grasp of all basic public relations tools and how they affect the client: proficiency in Radian6, Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word), Internet, on-line services, Media Map and Dow Jones News Retrieval. Previous agency experience required. Consumer/lifestyle/travel and tourism experience, particularly in food or restaurants/franchising is highly desired.




Northern California media experience/knowledge is preferred, so only serious, qualified and local candidates will be considered.
