Conceptualize and plan re-versioned and/or new larger-scale digital products so that they are delivered to agreed specification. Manage large scale projects from start to finish as project manager.

** Digital products include classroom presentation tools for teachers, learning management system courses, digital testing programs, websites, and apps and eBooks for smart phone and tablet delivery. The Senior Media Producer will be responsible for smooth running and managing his/her own projects within the priorities by digital group manager.**
•Contract vendors, create project schedules and manage project budget. Maintain and complete digital product schedule updates.
•Coordinate the planning, production, versioning, and maintenance of existing digital products and/or larger scale new digital products, and ensure these are developed in a consistent and cost-effective way, follow best practices, and meet editorial requirements, budget, and schedule.
•Initiate, own, and oversee the receipt, preparation, organizing, tracking, and delivery of assets in accordance w/agreed standards and criteria to project schedule.
•Create and maintain all digital products according to agreed AmELT Media design and structure guidelines.
•Responsible for the effective checking and testing of digital products so that so that final releases are stable when signed-off by Digital and editorial teams. Manage quality assurance (QA) reviewing including bug trafficking and ensuring corrections are fully and correctly implemented—both as manager of testing teams as well as conducting QA personally so that standards are established, known, disseminated, and maintained.

Consultation
•Consult with editorial colleagues to conceptualize new small, medium, and large scale digital products and product types as well as potential new functionality and platforms.
•Share and promote promising ideas, new products, functionality, and platforms across three AmELT publishing teams.

People Management
•Manage and train junior team members on pieces of large scale digital products as well as generally act as a resource to junior team members. Function as a senior team member—acting as a team manager and guide to junior team members. Generally, offload tasks involving file conversions, tracking/trafficking, posting, and managing content files as well as flowing content into existing interactive templates to junior team members and manage their work. Help to establish group-wide best practices and workflows.
•As needed, act as high level manager/guide to help set-up/launch small/medium scale projects then offload project management at launch to junior team members.
•Begin to function as direct manager of specific set of new junior team members as AmELT Digital team grows over time. Build and act as head of new team.
•Learn how to function as a digital instructional design guide and resource to help conceptualize, plan, and execute Act as senior team member when consulting with editorial, marketing, and ADP teams in planning and productions status meetings. Function as project lead from Digital perspective raising team awareness of schedule durations, deadlines, and issues/problems with project schedule, team members, content, or workflow.
•Innovation and Creation/Knowledge Development Activities (assuming that workload/time/budget permits)
•Attend digital conferences and seminars to continue to learn more about the current and future digital landscape in the English language learning and teaching.
•Familiarize self with and conduct research on competing publishers’ digital products and keep abreast of digital trends in the marketplace via regular digitally-focused publications.
•Participate in media market research, interviews, and product analyses to help guide current/future media product development. Begin to build closer relationships with schools, teachers, students, and sales force to enrich knowledge of OUP digital user challenges, needs, and current/future goals.
•As needed, enroll in courses or seminars to enhance and enlarge knowledge of digital technology, new trends in educational technology in/out of the classroom, and new functionality, product types, and pedagogy/conceptualization of how/why digital products could/should be created.
•Use existing and skills learned in the future to build prototypes of digital apps, animations, interactive activities, etc. to show fellow digital colleagues for learning purposes as well as promote to editorial teams as possible solutions for their digital products.

Requirements:

•Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years Educational Digital Product Conceptualization, Development, Management & Production, or other related work experience. Master’s degree a plus.
•Must have web design and web building experience and strong familiarity with Dreamweaver (or similar software), HTML, HTML5, XML, CSS, and content management/digital asset management software.
•A strong working knowledge of Photoshop, audio processing software such as Audacity or Switch, and video editing/processing software.
•Experience managing and delivering multiple digital projects simultaneously.
•Experience reviewing and testing software functionality and content.
•Proven organisational and interpersonal skills.
•Successful track record of delivering large scale software projects on schedule, within budget, of quality and meeting customer expectations.
•Strong interest and experience in technology, online teaching/learning, and digital instructional design.
•Experience in English language teaching desirable.
