Can you name all 5 members of One Direction? Do you know what color Katy Perry’s hair is this week? Did you cry a little inside when you found out that Justin and Selena were no more? If you answered “yes” to those three questions, then you might just be who we’re looking for.

Tiger Beat and BOP magazines are seeking an experienced, creative and motivated candidate to join our fast-paced editorial team. As the EE, you will top edit, copyedit, manage story flow and, most importantly, creatively collaborate on the ever-growing titles. You must have excellent people skills, impeccable copyediting skills, the ability to punch up headlines and features, social media know-how, an abundance of quirky and youthful ideas and a passion for pop culture. You must have management experience and a minimum of five years editing experience.

Responsibilities also include:

• brainstorm compelling stories
• assigning out event coverage
• overseeing photo shoots
• fielding & sorting PR pitches
• developing ideas with staff writers
• collaborating with the art department on design
• work with the web editor to develop digital media
• oversee special issues as published
• juggling everything

The ideal candidate will totally get and love what we do here at the magazines. You will have to commit to memory every detail about One Direction and know the name of Justin Bieber's siblings. We are a small team that produces 22 magazines (+ occasional specials) a year entirely in-house — editorial/art deadlines are effectively every two weeks. To fill this EE role, you must be confident, dedicated, driven and work very well under pressure.

Candidates who have strong digital skills sets will be favored.
