ABI, a global business-to-business marketing public relations agency, is currently seeking an Account Manager to support a growing client base. Our industries of focus include laboratory instrumentation, pharmaceutical processing, materials, packaging technology, manufacturing, plastics, and chemicals. The right candidate will have the ability to understand the complex industrial technologies of our clients and conduct media relations on their behalf. Strong writing skills, business acumen, news judgment, and a strategic mindset are also important qualities we seek.

Core responsibilities include:

1)Cultivating relationships with the media and managing media relations efforts to generate targeted publicity in the US-based, Canadian and Latin American print and online trade and business media.

2)Using social media outlets to help clients reach decision makers in new ways.

3)Building client relationships and providing strategic counsel on communications initiatives.

4)Working with account teams to execute writing and creative projects outlined in client contracts within a given timeframe.

5)Developing press releases and feature articles to convey the business value of clients' technology and service offerings.


Qualifications include:
-Exceptional media relations skills, with a proven track record of publicity in the trade media.
-Experience using social media platforms as part of communications programs.
-3-4 years of PR experience in an agency or corporate setting; business-to-business background preferred.
-Client and media relationship-building skills.
-Technical writing experience.
-Aptitude for understanding technology-based businesses.
