Senior Graphic Designer
SUMMARY: Full-time graphic designer needed to support the digital division of a growing healthcare-focused communications agency either from our NYC, Boonton or Cambridge (Boston) location. PowerPoint expertise is a must as well as complete knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office programs. This unique opportunity will give the right person a chance to grow the company’s digital offerings. This person will need to be hands on developing marketing materials, brochures and other collateral materials. This position requires a self-starter who is highly creative, a team player, capable of ensuring timely project initiation, implementation and completion.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:•Participate in new business pitches and create thematic deck template design and overall slide design•Keep current and apply working knowledge of industry-standard print and presentation software including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator and Dreamweaver), Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Quark, working knowledge of Flash•Maintain superior skill in graphic design, typography and color sense as well as knowledge of current design trends •Demonstrated ability to consistently produce a high volume of quality work under pressure and with tight deadlines•Expected to participate in the creation, adaption and expansion of the company brand•Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills•Professional demeanor and appearance are expected•Manage junior graphic designer as well as overseeing freelance graphic consultants, vendors and printers•Traffic work through the Creative Team, as needed, and ensure that deadlines are met while not compromising quality•Work cooperatively with other members of the Green Room team and interact with clients on the phone and in person, as appropriate•Administrative duties for project management as neededQUALIFICATIONS:•Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Graphic Design•Five to ten years graphic design experience in an agency or corporate environment•Expert-level knowledge of PowerPoint and strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite applications, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Microsoft Office, and Flash or equivalent•Proficiency with multi-media applications such as Adobe After Effects or Adobe Captivate•Must be strong with charts and graphs•Must have relevant samples in portfolio•Excellent design skills, artistic ability and creative thinking•Solid understanding of design fundamentals, including color theory and typography•Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred, corporate marketing design a major plusPlease include cover letter letter with resume.
