The Role
Bloomberg Mobile is seeking a product manager for our growing portfolio of mobile products for the consumer audience. The mobile product manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the product development lifecycle - from planning to execution to on-going support. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in the mobile space leading mission critical mobile projects from start to finish for a consumer-oriented company.

Responsibilities include:
- Manage the product roadmap and day to day activities for the product
-Partner with key stakeholders (developers, sales, marketing, editorial etc) -- to ensure the product fulfills it’s objective
-Develop product requirements and user story product specifications
-Proactively manage resources to exceed expectations on success metrics
-Develop and manage project plans and roadmaps
-Manage prioritization and trade-offs among features, user experience and performance
-Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impair the team's ability to meet strategic, financial and technical goals
-Keep all the stakeholders well informed at all times

The successful candidate will be a self-starter able to work extremely
effectively in a matrix organization and adept at synthesizing a variety of
technologies and capabilities into high quality and easy to use mobile products
that users love.

Qualifications:
-7+ years work experience in related positions with increasing responsibility
-3+ years as a product manager on successful projects for digital media products including iOS applications, Android Applications and/or Mobile Web, in a leading consumer media brand
-Excellent project management skills and experience managing multiple simultaneous date driven projects
-Hands on knowledge of underlying technologies to power and provide content to mobile products
-Demonstrated success defining and launching high quality products in a consumer oriented company
-Good understanding of customer-focused design and usability principles
-Results-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
-Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
-Demonstrated track record in software architecture and experience working through the full software development lifecycle
-Highly motivated strategic thinker with strong technical background
-BA/BS required; M.B.A. is also preferred

-Has utilized requirement management, bug tracking and project control tools (e.g. JIRA) to define and manage requirements within their project
-Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary with a general manager /owner mentality
