The Digital Marketing Services department at Lincoln Center is looking for a web developer to join our team. We're looking for a creative individual to help us in a key role working with a small team on our portfolio of websites (including LincolnCenter.org, LincolnCenterFestival.org, LCGreatPerformers.org, MidsummerNightSwing.org, and several others), along with special projects that come along, like Facebook games and on-site kiosks. In collaboration with part-time Web Producers, the Web Developer also oversees the execution of Lincoln Center's email marketing program, making sure emails are flawless and get out the door on time.

This position reports directly to the Director of Digital Marketing Services and will collaborate very closely with technical and creative members of a small in-house team.

Responsibilities include:

* Collaborating with the Digital Art Director to ensure visual designs are created with the restrictions and the possibilities of the modern web in mind.
* Translating these visual designs to modern, accessible code: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
* Implementing this code in a content management system. Assisting the Marketing department and other internal clients with the CMS when needed.
* Working with part-time Web Producers to create and deploy flawless marketing emails.
* Making software and infrastructure recommendations to the department based on your broad knowledge of current technology and industry best practices.

Skills and Experience
Here's our skills checklist:

* Deep understanding of user experience and interaction design.
* Expert at creating HTML, CSS, and JavaScript directly in a text editor.
* Proven experience developing with PHP and MySQL in an MVC environment. Strong knowledge of MySQL engines, caching, and optimizing for database performance.
* Proven experience working with a web-based email-marketing system like Mail2, MailChimp, or ExactTarget. Extremely familiar with the restrictions and techniques of designing for email.
* Expert knowledge of Google Analytics. Familiarity with other analytics platforms and tools, including CrazyEgg.
* Familiarity with tools and frameworks that can make our jobs easier: CodeIgniter, CakePHP, jQuery, MooTools, Twitter Bootstrap, Wufoo, etc.
* Expert-level knowledge of one or more LAMP-based content management systems, like Joomla, ExpressionEngine, Drupal, and BigTree CMS. Joomla experience in particular is a plus.
* Solid understanding of browser quirks and workarounds.
* Deep familiarity with a version control system like SVN or Git.
* Strong working knowledge of web standards, coding best practices, and accessibility standards.
* Expert-level familiarity with Mac OS X and the Adobe Creative Suite, including Flash and ActionScript.
