Junior copywriter responsibilities:

- Work from leads written by the company's senior writer to produce text for print and interactive projects, such as brochures, case statements, viewbooks, and websites.
- Edit text (e.g., professional correspondence, research reports, and contracts in addition to manuscripts for publication) for style, grammar, and syntax.
- Enter changes and client-requested edits into design files and content management systems.
- Load Web content.

Junior copywriter key competencies:

- Ability to write for multiple audiences within guidelines for brand, voice, style, and tone, using best practices for each medium (e.g., print, Web, social media, email, etc.)
- Ability to generate lucid, engaging prose of varying lengths, from punchy postcards to revealing interviews to engaging running text
- Ability to line edit, copyedit, proofread, and fact-check with a keen attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiarity with AP and Chicago styles and an ingrained understanding of the rules of English grammar
- Ability to work as part of a collaborative team that includes the creative director and graphic designers
- General comfort with software (e.g., design software such as Adobe InDesign and content management systems)
- Ability to work under deadlines to meet production schedules while handling a number of projects simultaneously

Junior Copywriter job requirements:

- Bachelor's degree required plus 2-5 years of writing, editing, or comparable experience
