DESCRIPTION: Join the digital team at one of the top PBS stations and most respected classical music radio stations in the country to create dynamic and interactive websites that deliver on site and audience development strategies, promote and extend the television and radio platforms with distinctive content, engage online and mobile audiences, and support revenue goals.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in computer science, graphic design, or equivalent combination of education.

-At least 4 years of experience in web/mobile development. Design experience a plus.
-Highly proficient in development and design of web interfaces in HTML with CSS, plus interface enhancements in JavaScript and jQuery; highly proficient experience in writing clean, original code using HTML text editors.
-Highly proficient with Adobe(TM) Creative suite.
-Highly proficient with developing responsive design and mobile-optimized sites; experience in app development a plus.
-Experience with development of relational database design and data-driven web applications in PHP and MySQL.
-Implementation and management of web Content Management Systems including Drupal, WordPress, and Django.
-Experience with server (including cloud) configuration and Linux server administration, including configuration of the Apache web server.
-Experience with implementation of web-based APIs.
-Highly proficient with Google suite of webmaster tools, including Google Analytics, Google Maps, and Advertsing applications.
-Expert knowledge of dominant browser and platform optimizations and constraints.
-Understanding of user research, metrics, and search engine optimization best practices and techniques.
-Demonstrated experience in implementing conceptual web design including typography, architecture theory, color theory, user interface design, visual design, and branding.
-Experience in audio and video players, capture, editing, and production for the web a plus.

-Help manage day-to-day operations for websites and mass e-mail campaigns, including site architecture, navigational rules, and content organization (teaming with other department members and other internal staff as appropriate).
-Work with production teams to develop, increase (with internal and external sources), and upload site content, interactive and rich media elements, and functionality.
-Build user-focused, interactive, rich media driven, and robust websites.
-Maintain, monitor and present web statistics; research potential improvements and enhancements; and recommend and implement changes with goals of increasing site traffic, user engagement and loyalty, and enhancing user experience.
-Plan, conduct, and document browser, usability and QA testing.
-Work with web and marketing teams to further develop advertising, underwriting, fundraising, and e-commerce areas of site to increase audience engagement and online revenue.
-Maintain knowledge of industry and monitor competitive websites with goal of keeping sites on cutting edge of new technologies.
-Perform other duties as needed and as assigned by Supervisor.
