Your tasks
The Crown Publishing Group seeks a Senior or Executive Editor to acquire, edit and develop manuscripts for the Forum, Archetype, Harmony, and Business imprints. This position manages all processes of book acquisition through publication in an effort to achieve imprint and group objectives. Responsible for conceiving new book ideas and for bringing new authors across all imprints.

?Finds authors for manuscripts by using originality and ingenuity that meet the goals of the Crown Archetype publishing programs
?Proposes and evaluates new projects; works with authors on shaping and developing material
?Attends conservative political conferences such as CPAC
?Generates support and acts as advocate of Forum and its publications within company and with agent community
?Negotiates purchase of acquisition contracts with current and new authors
?Manages the imprint/division?s relationships with key authors
?Collaborates with design and production departments on style, schedule, format, and aesthetics of publication.
?Provides consultation on marketing and design strategies, scheduling, and all other strategic decisions
?Performs other related duties as assigned or required.

Our requirements
Candidates must have a minimum of 7-10 years book editorial experience. The ideal candidate has excellent negotiation skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and is able to creatively develop new ideas and projects. Candidates must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
