The Senior Research Executive will be part of a client vertical team supporting two cable networks. The SRE’s focus is to address client needs related to all facets of linear and digital program and ad sales research. The scope of the client service function ranges from managing in-bound calls and addressing ratings and advertising data inquiries from clients, understanding consumer viewership behaviors across screens, maintaining knowledge of Nielsen’s product mechanics and roadmap. This is a collaborative, cross-functional role that requires solid communication, strong initiative and exceptional client service skills.
The ideal candidate will have strong cable industry knowledge, extensive understanding of Nielsen data sets and methodology. As an active contributor to the team, the candidate must be comfortable interfacing with functional groups within Nielsen (analytics, operations, product, marketing, etc.) when needed to champion client needs.

• Perform periodic assessments of client implementations and use of products and services to ensure optimal use and value; make best practice recommendations when appropriate

• Develop comprehensive understanding of client business - their market, needs, problems & objectives; recommending appropriate Nielsen solutions
• Work closely with internal teams to address client issues and needs
• Possess excellent business communication, writing, analytical, presentation & organizational skills.
• Work collaboratively with vertical team to coordinate efforts for clients where appropriate; case resolution management, usage reporting, contract renewals and amendments, and other support tasks
• Support vertical lead on overall strategic direction and execution
• Where possible identify, develop, pursue and close new revenue opportunities
• Strong commitment to corporate values and ethics


• 4 year degree required
• Research Experience at a cable network
• 5-7 years of relevant cable network experience required
• Knowledge of Nielsen ratings data
• Strong Analytical Skills
• Passion for research
• Understanding of the TV industry; broadcast stations
