Taylor & Francis is looking for a team player to manage and grow our current special sales business in the areas of Humanities and Social Science. Account Manager will call upon appropriate current and new customers in the US and Canadian markets. Representative will be required to deliver product presentations, achieve sales targets and provide high-level support to drive sales for our niche content.

Representative will sell directly to government, schools, specialty and select retail accounts. Candidate must be able to understand accounts and how our products "meet their needs". Representative will be required to search out new customers and business opportunities on a regular basis by cold and warm calling.

The representative must use a "consultative selling" approach. Employee training will be provided but the ideal candidate will bring his or her own skill set for business and sales development.

1.Call upon accounts to present publications as continuing education training materials etc.
2.Research customers' buying histories and prospects' websites, in order to identify appropriate products from our extensive list of content.
3.Manage accounts and prospects by using CRM and data management tools
4.Manage sales activity, negotiate discounts, and provide follow through for all sales.
5.Report sales for territory. Keep an accurate and up to date log of all pending business using
6.Provide detailed feedback regarding titles to editorial and marketing departments.
7.Create and implement new strategies to stimulate and achieve budgeted sales, for example custom versions of content.
8.Serve as the B2B specialist within the sales department.
9.Other tasks as assigned


Aggressive and personable phone manner
Ability to work independently
Effective presentation and organizational skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Office package and Internet.
At least 3 years of Sales experiences; previous business to business sales experience is preferred.
