Director of Sponsorship Research
The Corporate Sponsorship Research team is responsible for providing prospect, quantitative and qualitative research and analysis aiding the Corporate Sponsorship Sales, Marketing and Client Servicing teams to successfully secure sponsorships of national television series represented by the SG/PTV, WGBH's national selling organization, and WGBH's Local television stations, radio stations and web sites.Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Sponsorship, the Director of Sponsorship Research is responsible for managing all market research - qualitative, quantitative, custom sponsor studies - related to the needs of National and Local Corporate Sponsorship.Skills Required:- Candidates for this position must have 8-10 years market research experience within the media sales industry, and/or experience at an ad agency - with a comprehensive understanding of local & national broadcast & cable television, radio and on-line, knowledge and understanding of public media a strong plus. - Strong understanding of Nielsen & Arbitron methodology. - Must have the ability to work on many projects concurrently while managing a research staff and their wide variety of projects. - Proficiency in Microsoft office a must. - Proficiency in MRI and Simmons, Nielsen NPOWER; understanding of Local Nielsen (Arianna), ComScore, Scarborough, Google Analytics and Arbitron applications a must. - The ability to write, conduct and analyze custom research studies. - Strong writing skills and the ability to craft research stories a MUST - needs to author many reports and write one-sheets and PowerPoint slides. - Must be very detail-oriented, extremely organized, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. - Analytical and strategic thinker a MUST. - Strong team approach, ability to brainstorm in a multidisciplinary environment.Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business or Marketing.WGBH is an equal opportunity employer.
