Atlantic Media Strategies is the digital strategy and creative services division of Atlantic Media. In its first year, Atlantic Media Strategies has already attracted prestigious clients, ranging from Fortune 500 companies to non-profits to fast-growing start-ups and other media companies.

We are looking for an editor to run and build upon the momentum of a new public policy digital media brand devoted to global competitiveness, advanced manufacturing and related issue areas on behalf of a global technology company. The brand is a hub for expert commentary and dialogue as well as relevant news, data and research. The editor is responsible for building the brand's editorial strategy, writing and conceptualizing daily content, and managing close relationships with the client's public affairs team, policy experts, external think tank partners and expert contributors. The editor is a member of the AMS editorial team and collaborates with the strategy and product teams.

Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:

-At least five years of experience as a digital journalist, web producer, think tank analyst or digital communications specialist;
-A demonstrated interest in public policy;
-A demonstrated aptitude for creating a digital content strategy;
-Experience in building and managing an editorial calendar;
-Experience in soliciting and editing content from expert contributors;
-Experience in assigning, editing, producing, and writing stories/blog posts for the web;
-Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment;
-A deep understanding of how to attract and engage a digital audience including, but not limited to, using search, social media, and third-party aggregators;
-A journalistic sensibility that fits Atlantic Media values: intelligent, fair, accurate, fast, curious, provocative, news-driven
