Digital Media Strategist
OVERALL JOB FUNCTION This is a singularly challenging position at one of the fastest growing, independent Hispanic ad agencies. We are seeking an eager, dynamic individual who can be an instrumental leader within our rapidly growing digital team. The Digital Media Strategist is the central architect of digital technology campaigns for client(s). Works in coordination with the client and the media team in planning and buying, digital design/production and account management teams. The Digital Media Strategist is expected to be a champion for digital marketing within d exposito & Partners and the industry - sharing knowledge formally and informally (via blog, email, speaking and so on), identifying potential in others and otherwise positively influencing the culture of d expósito and its rapid expansion into digital marketing. This leadership position features involvement across many facets of the media business and supporting our teams who are actively developing and executing media plans. This candidate will be in a position to lead and grow in our company on a developmental basis. The Digital Media Strategist reports into our Director of Media Innovation within the infrastructure of our Media Department.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES*Lead digital media campaign strategy, planning, buying and execution for all clients. This includes display, mobile, search, email and paid social media*Navigate through and report on all campaigns and their performance from start to finish*Brainstorm with agency members to create brilliant concepts for client projects*Become actively involved in the strategic approach and recommendation process for client media campaigns*Participate in budget setting to determine the right investment level to meet client objectives*Evaluate vendor proposals against campaign/client goals*Gather and disseminate creative specs to Creative Team*Plans interactive media strategy in parallel path with terrestrial media*Develop and maintain timetables for all assigned projects*Maintain media budgets, flowcharts and insertion orders *Oversee preparation of competitive activity reports and contribute key learning summary and planning implications*Extensive understanding of the digital advertising industry, especially Hispanic landscape*Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills*Innovative problem solver and solutions-oriented*Ability to effectively present in front of a large and small groups*Proactive and a Team player/builder*Strong negotiation skills*Extreme attention to detail*Experience in Direct Response a plus*Ability to prioritize and work well under light supervision*Goal oriented and motivated with the desire to continue to grow*Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced environment and handle multiple projects with changing prioritiesPOSITION REQUIREMENTS*Bachelor's degree or higher in advertising, communications, marketing or related field*4-5 years experience in media planning/buying with at least 2-3 years in digital*Knowledge in behavioral targeting, mobile media, digital video and social media advertising approaches and how each can be applied*Travel may be required*Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills*Strong computer and internet skills. This position will also require regular use of media buying and media research specific software (ie., ComsCore, DART, MediaMind, Simmons, Nielsen, Alexa)*Fluency in Spanish and English*Familiarity with Hispanic media, cultural and digital landscapes*Multi-cultural agency experience a plusSend your resumes to firstname.lastname@example.org.
