The Account Manager will work with the Executive Licensing Manager to proactively develop and achieve new revenue goals in with small colleges and universities. Specific responsibilities include:
?High level of customer (telephone/email/in-person/etc.) contact on a daily basis.
?Ability to travel as required.
?Negotiating deals to close business with an understanding of margins required.
?Researching and recommending new markets/ customers.
?Producing sales/business reports.
?Staying abreast of new and existing products with a view to growing sales channels.
?Other duties as required by manager.
?Bachelor?s degree with minimum of 2 years prior experience, preferably work in the library sector.
?Strong computer skills in databases, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required.
?Knowledge of online journal publishing/STM experience preferred, but not required.
?Ability to drive new sales.
?Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
?Ability to work on complex contract negotiations and proposal development.
?Aptitude for contract language discussions and negotiations.
?Marketing analysis and project management skills.
?Experience to present to groups of peers, management and clients.
