eMarketer is looking for a reporter to join our editorial team. We have a unique, collaborative editorial process that brings together researchers, reporters, forecasters, and analysts to create our respected research reports and widely read newsletter articles.We need a passionate, experienced reporter who can score great "gets" in the the fields of marketing, digital media, and emerging technology. You don't have to have a bursting rolodex, but that would be nice. You do have to know how to get past the PR department for solid interviews with top executives on a regular basis. Your work will be featured in Q&A articles and be incorporated (and credited) in research reports. There is lots of opportunity for growth in our rapidly expanding editorial department and across our entire organization.Responsibilities:-Build relationships with and conduct interviews with digital experts at agencies and Fortune 500 brands-Candidates must be able to produce an average of eight to 10 interviews a week on all manner of digital marketing topics, and turn them around in a clear, succinct question-and-answer format-At ease working in a collaborative environment-Ability to work well with co-workers-Comfortable with learning new areas of digital marketing and juggling a number of projectsQualifications for senior reporter:-5+ years reporter experience-Proven track record in a business, marketing or digital marketing publication or beat-Experience in developing new beats-Ability to work independently and as a self-starterThis opportunity is based in New York City.
