NYU’s prestigious Leonard N. Stern School of Business has a challenging opportunity for an Assistant Director of Communications on the Development and Alumni Relations team. The Assistant Director will support the Development and Alumni Relations office in its efforts to communicate important updates from the School. S/he will create event invitations, draft fund raising appeal letters and create donor-related publications across a wide variety of promotional vehicles. Specific responsibilities include: helping to manage the design, print and mailing of communications materials; data and mail list requests and management; e- and online promotions, including social media; securing estimates and budgeting; writing, proofing, and editing informational and promotional text across a variety of vehicles, and overseeing the departmental website.

Candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree along with 3 years of relevant alumni or membership relations experience, including supervising office operations and staff, administering budgets, and planning special events, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. We are looking for someone with strong time management and project management skills, strong writing skills and preferably someone with experience in promotional writing. Website management skills, or the capacity to quickly learn these skills, are critical.
