Rodale is currently seeking a polished, eager entry-level candidate, who is passionate about media and development. Candidate must have a background in business development or marketing to work in the International department of Rodale in their New York office. The overall goal of the business development Coordinator is to provide general department support and assistance while learning the various responsibilities of the different areas within the department. This position reports to the Senior Vice President, International.

Responsibilities Include:

•Support development and marketing efforts worldwide
•Help partners in localizing best in class practices
•Provide materials and resources to partners and expansion of existing titles into 360 degree brands
•Support development of new magazine titles worldwide
•Conduct market research
•Support and coordinate details of a variety of International department projects
•Book travel for key members of the department (including securing international travel Visas)
•Assist department in preparation, marketing and execution of International conferences–locate venue, caterer, manage communication process
•Manage annual media kit information collection process
•Assist department with various administrative tasks -ordering supplies, booking conferences rooms, mail/messenger, etc.
•Assist SVP as needed


•Experience within publishing a plus –internships within magazine publishing
•Strong organizational skills including an ability to manage multiple tasks within a fast paced environment
•Positive attitude, solid work ethic, tenacious follow through
•Ability to take direction and apply own marketing/business development skills and talent toward successful execution of assigned work
•Accurate proofreader and capable writer
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Computer skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
•Bachelor’s degree within marketing, advertising, magazine publishing or business development required
