Your tasks
This position will manage and execute literary fiction and nonfiction trade book campaigns. This includes overseeing Google and Facebook campaigns, social media outreach, reading group promotion, and other marketing strategies. The Manager will also be responsible for the following:
- Implement frontlist and backlist advertising campaigns independently and in conjunction with the Corporate Digital Marketing Team;
- Plan, execute and optimize Google and Facebook campaigns in real time and compile reports both during and after, including metrics and analysis for R&D;
- Manage and expand social media presence for the Reading Group Center and collaborate to implement strategies for other imprint verticals (Vintage Books & Anchor Books, Weekly Lizard, and Everyman?s Library). This includes developing content for Facebook, Twitter, Scribd, Goodreads, and other platforms; providing analytics and benchmarks for all social media platforms; and utilizing social media tools like BuddyMedia to increase engagement and further develop community;
- Manage imprint websites and verticals, maintaining a distinct voice for each. Responsibilities include regular updates, blog postings, and maintenance. Manager will be responsible for planning and creating original content; recruiting editors, authors and others to source guest posts and other appropriate content as needed; and maintaining schedules for each property;
- Measure and report on performance across social media and website properties using analytics tools; identify trends and benchmarks; provide optimization recommendations; and investigate new social media marketing techniques.
- Manage direct-to-consumer communications, such as email newsletters, maintaining schedules and compiling content;
- Coordinate imprint titles for inclusion in corporate promotional vehicles, such as newsletters, new release features, and vertical websites.

Our requirements
The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of digital marketing experience. Additionally, the ideal candidate is highly motivated and organized with strong analytics skills, the ability to recognize trends and recommend action. Strong oral, written, and presentation skills are required. Candidates should also have demonstrated familiarity with social media monitoring tools (Radian 6 and Buddy Media), WordPress, website metrics tools like Google Analytics and Omniture SiteCatalyst, and Google AdWords
