World Scientific Publishing Company is seeking a smart and flexible professional for a multifaceted sales/marketing position at our Hackensack, NJ office. This position works closely with customers, authors, vendors and staff across departments to increase our brand recognition, product exposure, and to expand our sales into new areas. He/she will work both independently and as part of a team, providing departmental support in a fast-paced, friendly, and challenging environment. Major duties include:-Plan and execute promotional strategies and activities for our books and journal portfolios, including create and distribute sales literature, attend conferences and sales meetings, coordinate Internet promotion, and conduct telemarketing and sales presentation;-Develop good relationship with authors, customers, vendors and scholarly societies; Build strategies to maximize selling effectiveness and profile presence;-Pro-actively scout for new distribution leads to maximize business opportunities; Assist with customer service issues;-Manage key accounts; Visit key contacts regularly;-Plan, organize and attend events, seminars and conferences; and-Coordinate projects with other departments and overseas offices.Require:-At least 1-2 years of sales or marketing experience, preferably in scholarly publishing;-Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and being a team player;-Independent and creative thinker; Energetic and pro-active;-Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented.
