Responsibilities:

1.Develops vision for the publication.
2.Oversees editorial content and design of each issue.
3.Manages senior editorial staff.
4.Helps explore new media opportunities for the Bulletin and Bulletin content
5.Develops ideas and assigns stories.
6.Works collaboratively with the content and design creation team.
7.Oversees efficient production of the publication and its related products.
8.Works with media relations and marketing to promote the publication.
9.Collaborates with the advertising staff.
10.Oversees editorial budget.
11.Works collaboratively with other important areas of AARP.
12.Can be called up to represent the publication before AARP groups and other public meetings.

Requirements:

Must have 20+ years of editorial experience.
15+ years as senior editor or reporter
B.A. in English or Journalism or the equivalent.
