Position Title: Digital Media Engineer
Reports To: Director of Media Production and Operations


This is a highly technical position that requires demonstrated experience in traditional broadcast technologies, encoding technologies, post production and digital asset management.
This position is responsible for ensuring technical operations from signal acquisition through final delivery of all digital media. They lend a strategic voice for finding efficiencies in workflow and advising on emerging technologies as they apply to Trinity Digital Media operation.


Duties and Responsibilities:

-Encoded Media: Evolve and maintain encoding environment. Understand and recommend best practices. Continually tweak workflows as related to encoding environment. Lead contact with CDN
-Media Asset Management: Maintain digital assets. Recommend and enforce best practices as related to workflow, file structure and technology evolution.
-Media Technology Development: Manage development of web environment, mobile environment, distribution environment and emerging technologies.
-Media Technology Maintenance: Maintain technology in media production environment. Upkeep to 99.9% uptime reliability. Integrity of security, production IP networks and distribution channels.
-Media Technology Project Management: Ensures control room is consistently in normal state. Responsible for duplication and distribution workflow of recorded material. Documents and updates technical operations and workflows. Maintains relationships with third party vendors.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

-Experience in live broadcast production operation and telecasting.
-Ability to communicate highly technical information in an effective manner
-Solid understanding of non-linear editing.
-Understanding of Episcopal liturgy.
-Able to work without supervision.

Special Requirements:
-Job requires working some evenings, Sundays and holidays.
-Requires availability during off hours in event of emergency

Required Education, Experience, and Credentials:
-Minimum 10 years experience in field
-Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
