The Books team is looking for an experienced, innovative and customer-focused merchandising manager who will be responsible for developing and executing a variety of customer-focused initiatives related to the website, marketing, and customer experience. This leader will envision and drive the online merchandising strategy for the Books business by leading a team of merchandisers who create site and email content.

The ideal candidate is analytical, is enthusiastic, is customer-focused, has great judgment and creative problem solving skills. He/she will drive sales, must be able to work at both a strategic level (generating innovative ideas for growth) and at a tactical level (executing campaigns with site merchandising tools, analyzing traffic data, and solving problems).
- A bachelor's degree is required

  • Proficiency with HTML and XML, plus the ability to learn our in-house analysis tools quickly
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with SEO/SEM is a plus
  • Ability to deal with ambiguous problems and build solutions with proper project management
  • Outstanding writing, presentation and communication skills
