Web Producer
Description Ad Age -- the leading source of news, information and insight into the marketing, advertising and media business -- is seeking a savvy Web Producer to help build out our digital presence.


We’re looking for someone who has an appreciation for the future of media, has a product-oriented background, a focus on creating the best user experiences, an interest in helping a leading news organization thrive in a digital age, and knowledge of the tools and technologies that will grow Ad Age’s online presence. This will be a key member of our team and will work collaboratively with our content and development teams and report into the general manager of digital.

Job Responsibilities:
• Identify and understand editorial, user, and business needs and translate those into product requirements
• Work closely with the Web design and development team to build out both front end and back end products for users and editors
• Project manage the design and development workflow, setting expectations, defining scope and timelines and providing project status updates.
• Continually improve our online user experience
• Work closely with content team to conceive and develop new ways to tell stories
• Aggressively keep pace with trends in digital media
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree
• Fluency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Strong prioritization and communication skills
• Proficiency with content management systems and third-party systems and platforms (ex: Basecamp, Jira, BrightCove)
• Background using data analytics tools (Google Analytics, Omniture, Flurry) to track engagement and help drive product requirements
• Strong design and user experience skills
• Ability to work quickly and accurately
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Use and appreciation of social media, content syndication and other new forms of distribution
• Interest in and strong desire to help shape the future of media
• Background working with editorial and content teams a plus
