Sotheby's Institute of Art (SIA) is seeking a graphic design and website manager to serve as a marketing project manager specializing in web and design content, and content production, with an emphasis on engaged user-ship. This role will report directly to the Director of Global Marketing and is located in New York City. This position will seek to utilize the assets of Sotheby's Institute of Art, Sotheby's auction house and the Sotheby's brand within the scope of their own digital and design talents across platforms. The position will also have knowledge and oversight of print design essentials and work within the international organization to determine efficient methods of managing graphic design, website and advertising projects as well as driving overall brand strategy and design.
SIA is looking for a professional with Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 2-4 years experience in design and layout for web and printed materials. All relative industries will be considered with a particular preference for an art, higher education, media or luxury background
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
-Branding/Graphic Design:
-Content packaging (Digital)
-Brand guideline development and maintenance
-Design of social media promoted posts
-Design of misc. advertising
-Design of email blasts
-Design of landing pages and website imagery
-Print Material: Project management for printed collateral including pamphlets/brochures, viewbooks, catalogs, posters, etc.; signage for conferences and other branded signage
-Auction house collateral development and communication with auction house staff - incorporation of new brand guidelines from the auction house marketing and design team
-Website: landing page development and design; liaison between Marketing and IT; web development and implementation project management; landing page and website imagery
-Email Marketing: Design and code all HTML email campaigns; landing page development
-Advertising: Project management for designed web advertising; design work as needed for print advertising; track and organize IO's; traffic ads, tag links for web campaigns, etc.
-Social Media: Occasional contribution of social media content, including photography with focus on developing Pinterest and Tumblr accounts
-Asset management and collateral tracking - including initializing DAMS (Digital Asset Management System) for the purposes of marketing
-Photography: Organize and track image library; plan and execute marketing photo shoots
-Occasionally draft and edit copy

Position Requirements:
-Strong Adobe Creative Suite design proficiency
-Web development and CMS proficiency (basic HTML and CSS knowledge required)
-Skilled and clear communicator with excellent writing ability
-Knowledge of global marketing landscape (special knowledge of China is a plus)
-Video content editing
-Attention to detail
-Ability to work independently and prioritize with minimal supervision
-Knowledge and experience of visual arts, art organizations and enterprise
-Ability to think strategically in order to improve current processes
-Excellent understanding of the English language, oral and written
-Ability to be present in the office
-Ability to pass a background check
