Coordinator, Programming + Content Development
AtlanticLIVE, the dedicated events and conference division of The Atlantic magazine, seeks a Coordinator of Programming + Content Development to assist in the conception, production, and delivery of exciting editorial programs for audiences of 25-250+ business, government, and policy leaders. Our ideal candidate will have 1+ years previous communications, editorial, or research experience. Offering a progressive, collegial work environment, our fast-paced team provides a unique opportunity for writing, editing, and research experience within a media event production enterprise, with a great trajectory for earning increased responsibility. Responsibilities include:•Lead content development for smaller client/partner events including roundtables and panels, and assist in development for large-scale summits and forums•Develop program content through research and evaluation, including, but not limited to: topic generation, expert speaker identification, program format options, and high-level attendee lists•Actively, aggressively, and creatively pitch and recruit top speakers to speak at Atlantic programs•Manage speaker/moderator needs for events, including, but not limited to: moderator preparation, background research, event recaps •Engage with internal and external constituents throughout the program planning process from conception to development, execution to evaluation, with a keen commitment to forging relationships and understanding goals•Serve as journalist-of-record at events to prepare post-event discussion summaries and analyses•Constantly innovate new program formats, topics, and participants to appeal to audience, client, and editorial goals and ambitionsQualifications of the Ideal Candidate:•Broad knowledge of current events, policy issues, and national affairs, with working knowledge of key players in each•Strongest written communication and research skills; strong oral communication skills•Superior organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within a high velocity, deadline-driven work environment•Ability to marry creativity to practical event constraints•Confidentiality with sensitive material and communication•Resourcefulness and ability to work proactively and independently•Project confidence and charisma especially when on the phone with prospective speakers and underwriters•1+ years of experience in communications, editorial, or research•Bachelor’s degreeTo apply, please visit us online at www.atlanticmedia.com.Atlantic Media Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Atlantic Media is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
