Associate Marketing Manager
ABRAMS seeks a creative, detail-oriented individual who will oversee title marketing in the categories of performing arts, film, popular culture, comic arts, nature and science. S/he will be part of a small but fast-paced marketing team and will play an integral role in developing and executing marketing strategies, promotions, and programs. Specific duties include editing and compiling marketing copy, seasonal catalog copy and fact sheets; managing and implementing marketing plans for assigned titles by working closely with editorial, sales, publicity and digital marketing departments; communicating plans with authors and agents; maximizing traditional and digital media outlets, pursuing and expanding promotional partnerships with third-party companies and organizations, and building relationships with a broad range of authors and key properties; managing ABRAMS presence at select conventions and trade shows. Qualifications include a bachelor's degree; 3 - 5 years of book publishing experience, specifically in marketing; excellent written and oral communication skills; strong initiative and judgment; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a willingness to handle multiple, complex projects. Individual should be results-oriented and able to work well independently as well as in a collaborative or team environment. Computer proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
