Under the direction of Station Relations' Account Managers and the Director of Local/National Station Marketing, the Senior Marketing Coordinator works closely with project clients, public media station executives and external partners. He/she helps generate marketing and project proposals; campaign plans; and project reports for public media projects WGBH produces or represents. The Senior Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating with colleagues and departments across WGBH, including Sponsorship, Research, Educational Outreach and National Marketing. The SMC develops and maintains project timelines and produces events; print and digital collateral in conjunction with the project's Account Manager. The SMC also tracks budgets and project expenditures and has a lead, proactive role in Station Relations projects that contribute to best practices. The SMC gathers and analyzes station data, including carriage reports for WGBH's national productions. Some travel as well as evening and weekend work is expected.

The SMC should excel at teamwork and analysis, including industry trends. Excellent written and oral communications skills are required, as is the ability to prioritize and juggle many tasks, often under deadline, while remaining organized and detail-oriented. The ability to work in a collaborative manner with an aptitude for cultivating positive relationships is essential, as are maturity, poise and self-direction in
handling responsibilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, excellent writing, spelling and proof-reading skills required. Internet, Excel, and FileMaker experience is essential. Five years of agency, marketing coordinator or other relevant experience in mar-comm and promotion is required. BA required
