Job Duties include but are not limited to:
-Responsibility for meeting aggressive value targets within New York Road Runners
-Value spread across multiple business units including new business,
-Value including revenue generation, value in kind, budget relief in kind and buys with existing media partners
-Aided NYRR in achieving double digit year-over-year growth from 2010-2012
-Working with the Vice President of Business Development, Identify, target, sell and maintain high revenue corporate and non-profit sponsorships and long-term strategic relationships for all New York Road Runner events
-Deep dive research in to the latest trends within the sports business world as well as the broader business and sponsorship world
-Competitive landscape analysis through keeping abreast of business and sponsorship trends as a means of identifying potential trends and new sales opportunities
-Build new market opportunities and areas of growth for the organization through strategic partnerships; Identify and cultivate partnership leaders, craft customized marketing and sales proposals, and initiate negotiations for both prospective partners and renewals
-Manage over inbound partnership requests
-Track all sales communications as a means of senior management knowing any current potential partnerships that are currently in discussion
-Maintain and strengthen relationships with all NYRR internal departments across multiple business lines, to drive strategic, operational and event planning activities

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Skills and Attributes:
-5-7 years' experience in a strategic business development, sales or account management role
-Excellent writing skills, Word and Powerpoint skills
-Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment
-Energy and enthusiasm for NYRR's mission and growth initiatives
-Ability to work as a team player
-Flexibility and ability to simultaneously work on a number of projects
-Ability to work early mornings, late nights and weekends as needed
