The Director of Marketing will be an experienced, results-driven leader responsible for developing and implementing an effective marketing strategy for EBI MAP-Works' flagship student retention service and their educational benchmarking assessments. You will be an energetic, creative, team player with a track record for driving sales through sophisticated and well-executed marketing plans. You will be the leader of a team responsible for creating an effective, ROI-driven marketing strategy using all applicable tactics including trade show and conference attendance, collateral development, email, webinars, print media, paid search, public relations, direct mail, SEO, and social media. Successful implementation of this marketing strategy will include planning and development, budget creation and management, efficient execution, measuring ROI, and effective team management.


Individual Tasks
- Develop and implement a thoughtful, effective marketing plan for new and existing products. Create and manage the budget that supports the marketing plan, showing clear ROI, and then measure and deliver on expected results.
- Support the MAP-Works and Educational Benchmarking sales teams by attending sales conferences and providing sales materials including positioning statements, value propositions, sales collateral, Power Point decks, and more.
- Conduct client research, analyze current market conditions and evaluate competitive information; use this information to inform the marketing strategy.
- Attend conferences and trade shows and represent our company and our products to help us build our brand, strengthen our relations in the academic community, and capture business opportunities.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and with partner organization.
- Supervise EBI's website design and maintenance

Skills / Knowledge:

- Product management or product design experience with a focus on education (preferred)
- Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a fast-paced environment
- Experience developing software and/or Internet applications
- Knowledgeable across many functional areas: product management, UI, sales, customer support, finance, and marketing
- Problem solving, organizational, and analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong technical understanding
- Strong team management and development skills
- Flexible and willing to work as a team member doing whatever it takes to release an exceptional product
- Familiarity with online assessment (preferred)


- Solid product management experience with a track record of creating innovative software/web-based applications.
- Strong quantitative and analytical abilities
- Demonstrated project management abilities
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to evangelize products

Educational Background:

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
