-Superior ability to discern appropriate styles of communications for diverse staff audiences and external stakeholders, including specific sectors of the public.
-Strong writer in clear, concise English with faultless editing and proofreading skills in varied modes of communication.
-Fast acting thinker and writer with dead-on instincts that enable him or her to draft high quality content for immediate requests as well as those with longer leads.
-Professional, organized team player who can also work independently, and who enjoys working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
-Disposition for making meaningful connections with staff across large local organization with national reputation.
-High functioning multi-tasker that can manage and resolve requests from across the organization in an organized and efficient fashion.
-Understanding of internal communications and experience in the field.
-Understanding of marketing principles and experience in the field.
-Have a team "get-it-done" attitude and enthusiasm to collaborate in department-wide projects and events, as necessary.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree preferred

Required Experience:
-At least three years of experience in communications, marketing, or equivalent field preferably in the nonprofit sector.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
-Practioner of social media communication.
