Business-to-business magazine targeting apparel/textile/manufacturing professionals seeks an associate editor with a journalism or communications degree, website and social media skills and a minimum of two years experience writing and reporting. ?The candidate must have solid project-management and organizational skills, as well as exceptional talent and enthusiasm for reporting, interviewing and writing. Some travel and speaking at industry events is required. The ideal candidate is a go-getter who’s eager to play a key role in building the success of the business.Duties:• assisting in determining the content of the published products• carrying overall responsibility for specific parts of the published content• working in collaborations with freelance writers• conducting preliminary research on the content to be published• working with proofreaders in order to ensure correct text• copyediting work done by both in-house writers and freelancers• providing editorial assistance for specific sections, or articles, such as "In memoriam"• Preparing real-time e-newsletter + similar electronic dailies • Orchestrating upload of Internet editions and dissemination of posting announcements• participating in meetings, book launchings, other events• self-educating by attending conferences, reading trade journals, training in new technologies and other methods.
