JOB OBJECTIVE:
The Business Development Analyst is responsible for consistent communication of PBS Distribution’s (PBSd) goals, strategies and plans to Producers and internal teams (departments within PBSd). Working collaboratively with PBSd management, he/she will perform research and analysis, develop talking points and create presentations. The position reports to the Senior Director of Acquisitions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Work collaboratively with multiple PBSd units to create and manage all outbound PBSd communications to Producers and other external stakeholders, including:
•Research and analysis of sales data and industry trends
•Analyze & aggregate data to develop presentations and talking points
•Ensure that Producers have a strong understanding of the value that PBSd’s priorities and projects bring to them
•Work closely with other PBSd business channels on communication initiatives related to PBSd products and services
•Work closely with PBSd management to identify key communication points for launches, projects and upgrades
•Prepare communications for PBSd’s executives, including presentation materials
•Maintain calendar of speaking events and conferences to ensure coordination of PBSd messaging
•Lead efforts for other special projects as needed

MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
•3-5 years of relevant work experience
•Strong experience successfully managing customer relationships
•Demonstrated success creating compelling presentations
•Previous work in public media is a plus

MINIMUM EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:
•Bachelor’s degree in business with marketing focus

SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED:
•Mastery of Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Word)
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills including proofreading
•Ability to gather, analyze and present data for multiple audiences
•Ability to effectively share knowledge, with a keen sense of understanding of constituents’ needs and wants
•Ability to effectively work under tight deadlines and manage projects independently
•Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
•Resourcefulness in solving problems
•Excellent people skills and an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude
•Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
•Understanding of media distribution platforms and devices
•Superior professionalism and judgment
•Strong work ethic
