Role Purpose The Manager of Sales Research is responsible for supporting Ad Sales in positioning Syfy to the marketplace. The Manager will interface with internal clients (Sales, Marketing, Finance and Research among them) in order to deliver insights and analyses about the network/program audiences relative to key competitors. The person in this role will report directly to the Director of Syfy/Chiller Sales Research and manage the Analyst on the team. Responsibilities

* The Syfy Ad Sales Research Manager will be an idea-driven, self-starter who will respond to Marketing, Management and Account Executive requests and support the Director and VP on the team in the creation of the decks, analyses and marketing materials produced by the Research Department.

* Manager will report trends in audience deliveries, analyze the composition of the audiences, identify brand/category opportunities based on consumer behavior and product consumption, and use a variety of data sources to develop presentations that engage advertisers and their agencies.

* Manager will create ROI decks to highlight the effectiveness of sponsorships on Syfy using syndicated research tools measuring audience trends and advantages over key competitors/relevant norms in brand recall, opinion and likeability.

* Manager will develop program and daypart makegood estimates for Finance, Pricing/Planning and Sales Management.

Basic Qualifications

* Bachelors Degree in Communications, Marketing, Mathematics/Statistics, Psychology, Media or related field

* 4+ years at a media company (cable entertainment network preferred) where responsibilities included national TV ratings analyses and sales positioning

* Expertise in Nielsen Galaxy Explorer, TV Toolbox, Ad Views and National TV Brand Effect (IAG) as well as MRI and Simmons

* Excellent computer skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel Eligibility Requirements
